You still don’t know what to give to your wine-loving friends for Christmas? Don’t panic, we have made a small selection of intimate and rare wines that will surprise you for Christmas. For this list, we tried to avoid the pitfall of the most expensive wines in the world, to suggest some more accessible ones!
Banyuls Petite Bonbonne from Vynier de La Ruca
It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to taste wine in a cylinder! Even more so when it is made of blown glass, which makes each one unique! A wine produced on a parcel of less than 2 hectares, and which produces less than 1000 bottles per year. A unique wine, that we will not often have the opportunity to taste!
Beatitube de La Sorga
A wine that leaves us completely blissful, or staggering with happiness, it depends. This Languedoc estate always reserves singular wines. And for good reason: it is made from isolated parcels of land or from parcels with beautiful singularities. A wine that is increasingly difficult to find!
Saint Joseph Blanc from the Romaneaux-Destezet Domain
A very nice wine from Béatrice and Hervé Souhaut here. Fine, as often with these winemakers, and very elegant, a white wine that we highly recommend.
Munjebel Blanc from Frank Cornelissen
This one, it’s to give you a change of scenery. A wine produced in Sicily, on the slopes of Mount Etna! Made from grapes cultivated at an altitude of more than 1000 meters, we have a fine wine with a nice acidity. You will also find aromas of citrus and dried fruits. Ideal as a Christmas gift.
White Wine from Gelée du Clos du Tue Bœuf
Almost a collector’s item, so much 2017 was a painful year for this domain which suffered the full force of the frost episode that hit the Loire. We had a very poor vintage in quantity, but not in quality! We advise you this white wine made from grapes that escaped the frost.
Canta Manana from Alain Castex
If you read our blog regularly, you know that we are not afraid of wine for breakfast. This is a good reason for us to offer you a “morning that sings”! A very rare rosé, which has the particularity of having been made on a plain terroir. We recommend it!
Here is our small list of wines (not exhaustive) that you can offer for Christmas. Feel free to tell us about the bottles you’re going to offer in comments! And if you can’t find the perfect wine, you can always give the perfect wine accessory: the Aveine wine aerator!
